-Style: Gothic, wave, electropop, shoegaze. -Bands: Angie Damage, Aerial FX, Neon, Forthcoming Fire, Sensor, Rise And Fall Of A Decade, Individual Industry, Mediavolo, elephant Leave ao. -Comment: This Russian compilation features three parts. It starts with the 'Gothic/Wave' featuring seven bands. Angie Damage opening delivers the remarkable "Poppa's A Healer", which is a beautiful piece of wafting wave music. Neon launches the harder "Isolation" while Sandie Trash comes close to a kind of wave-punk sound. I personally expected a bit more out of this 1st part. The 'Electropop/Indie Rock' coming next is only featuring three ambassadors. The remix of "Submarines" by The Silicon Scientist is a pretty enjoyable piece of pop. Rise And Fall Of A Decade brings another decent song and especially the easy reminding chorus of "Don't Save The Museum" is pretty well-crafted. The last part is the "Shoegazer/Heavenly Voices" one of the featured five bands. This is for sure the best part from this sampler. While I expected a bit more from Mediavolo I was totally seduced by the typical shoegaze style of Colour Kane and Elephant Leave. Both bands are the absolute highlights from this interesting sampler.
